Welcome, beautiful souls

My work is about more than just prescribing herbs, it’s about listening to and understanding your story. But before we do that, here's a bit about my story.

About Me

Hello, and welcome to Inner Sprout Health. I’m Vyvian, a Western Herbal Medicine practitioner passionate about helping people restore balance, vitality, and wellbeing. My approach is holistic, combining Western Herbal Medicine, Flower Essence Therapy, Lifestyle Guidance, and Food As Medicine, because true healing begins from within.

I believe that health and wellness isn’t just for the wealthy. I am passionate about helping others discover practical and  accessible ways to care for their health, even on a tight budget. My goal is to empower you with tools and strategies that support lasting wellbeing without compromising your finances.

My Early Connection to Healing

From a young age, I was surrounded by a family who valued the healing power of simple remedies. I remember sipping ginger, honey, and lemon tea whenever I wasn’t feeling well. While these early experiences were simple, they sparked a curiosity that grew into a deeper appreciation for how food and plants can support health. As I got older, I explored these practices more seriously, learning how to integrate nourishment and herbal remedies into daily life.

My Education and Professional Background

I hold a Bachelor of Health Science, specialising in Western Herbal Medicine from Torrens University and have completed Flower Essence Therapy and Food As Medicine as my electives. My professional background is diverse as I am a qualified nurse, a trained building designer, and have also completed a Diploma of Tourism and Travel. Each of these experiences has shaped the way I approach health, combining care, precision, and creativity.

My Approach to Health

I am passionate about integrating habits for longevity into daily living, and I love being in the kitchen cooking wholesome meals for loved ones. My special areas of interest include gut health, musculoskeletal health, and mental & emotional wellbeing. In my practice, I provide personalised care tailored to your needs, integrating:

  • Western Herbal Medicine to give the body an extra boost where required;

  • Flower Essence Therapy to support emotional, mental and energetic wellbeing;

  • Lifestyle guidance for sustainable health habits;

  • Food As Medicine to nourish your body from the inside out; and

  • Practical strategies for achieving health and wellness on a budget.

I take the time to listen to your story, understand your goals, and work with you to create a plan that empowers you to take control of your health naturally.

Why I Do This

I believe everyone deserves to feel their best, regardless of their financial situation and social status. Seeing clients regain their energy, confidence, and balance is the most rewarding part of my work. My mission is to offer a supportive space where healing is possible, one step at a time — healing you from the inside out.

Things I Like To Do In My Spare Time

As a busy practitioner and business owner, I regularly take the time to look after myself and especially my own mental health for longevity as I now understand the effects it has when neglected. I love exploring new things to do; however, my regular hobbies include:

  • Reading. I mainly read non-fictional books on the topics of science, health and self-care. I also like to revel in Japanese manga for most of my fictional reading and also have a collection of cookbooks.

  • Watching movies & shows. Yes, I am human and do indulge in the occasional binge of comedy, K-drama & anime. I also enjoy watching documentaries on health, cooking, science, nature & archeology.

  • Product research and manufacturing. One of my drivers to undertake the Bachelor of Health Science was the curiosity and passion for finding and creating products to help others to achieve their health goals without breaking the bank. I even allocate a couple days a week to research, experiment and create recipes and ideas on how to integrate health in your day. Yes, this is technically me working, but I enjoy it so much that I classify it as a leisurely thing.

  • Experimenting in the kitchen. I am a big foodie and love to try new things and cooking a feast for loved ones. I do occasionally feed my curiosity and concoct unspeakable creations, thankfully just for myself. I also make a lot of fermented foods, mainly kimchi.

  • Crocheting. I'm a self-taught crochet & knitter thanks to Youtube and have enjoyed making handmade gifts for friends and family for over 15 years.

  • Cross-stitching. Another form of art that I really enjoy. I love watching the blank canvas evolve into a sophisticated artwork. Usually I switch from crocheting to cross-stitching in the warmer months as it gets too hot to work with yarn.

  • Exercising. I probably wouldn't be caught running a 10km marathon but I do enjoy going for walks (especially in nature or along the beach if I have the time), a 20-minute HIIT sprint session, reformer Pilates, taking weight classes at the gym, Zumba classes, and boxing. I like to challenge myself to constantly beat my own personal best.

  • Singing and dancing like no-one's watching. The vibrations caused from singing has been shown to increase activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, which is your 'rest and digest', and dancing increases movement. Both are really good for the body and better if you have someone to belt it out with. Fun fact: I actually started dancing on stage at the age of 4 and started martial arts at the age of 13 where I continued my life as a performer in stunts and acrobats.

  • Solving puzzles. I love working on a good puzzle that challenges my brain and gets it thinking. Sometimes to unwind, I work on a Sudoku, Nonogram, Crossword or Jigsaw puzzle.

  • Catching up with family and friends over a meal. I always try and make time for those that are important to me.

Let me know if we have any of these in common, I'd love to have a chat about them and incorporate them into your treatment.
